The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy recently designated Gunsan, Iksan, and Wanju in Jeonbuk Province as a third-generation specialized cluster. The government plans to inject substantial financial backing alongside massive private investments to ensure long-term sector stability.

At its strategic Gunsan facility, OCI successfully manufactures high-grade polysilicon and phosphoric acid utilized heavily in etching processes. Strengthening Hydrogen Peroxide Output

Moving over to the Iksan plant, which first launched commercial operations back in 1979, the enterprise produces ultra-pure hydrogen peroxide. This chemical is critical for advanced cleaning and etching procedures on modern production lines.

Market Standing and Leadership Outlook

OCI proudly maintains the number two market position throughout South Korea’s hydrogen peroxide sector. President Lee Soo-mi emphasized that this initiative will stabilize domestic supply chains while accelerating the firm’s transition into an advanced materials powerhouse.
